Gloucester Quays

Gloucester Quays is a major regeneration project, hailed as the key to the successful future of the revitalised cathedral city. It integrates 25 hectares of prime waterfront site with Gloucester city centre and adjacent docks developments. Shoppers and tourists can enjoy a vibrant combination of designer outlets, restaurants and bars, a brand new Travelodge hotel, an antiques centre, a 6-screen Cineworld cinema, and the National Waterways Museum which tells the fascinating history of the inland waterways at Gloucester Docks.

Rock worked on many areas of the scheme, including the Level 1 car parking deck, which comprises insulated screed with 10mm later of waterproofing and 30mm layer of paving grade asphalt. Stair core roof areas feature a high quality two-layer Axter felt system. We have employed a Permatec hot melt inverted system for the hotel and mall areas, and a single ply for a lightweight metal deck area.

All these waterproofing solutions have been installed by Rock, guaranteeing a standard of workmanship that adds significant value to this imaginative scheme, which is one of the UK's largest mixed use waterside regeneration developments.
